Steve Jobs, who was known to be closed to the media about his private life, gave permission to Walter Isaacson to write his life story of Steve Jobs after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Permission was granted shortly before his death.

Almost a week since its launch in the United States, biographies of Apple Inc. founder and innovator, Steve Jobs has sold over 379,000 copies. The book, written by Walter Isaacson is directly ranked second most popular categories of books and was discharged in the United States, although that was three times reprinted.

Number of sales also put Steve Jobs biography as a degree-18 as the bestseller in the United States in just 6 days. The book is expected to occupy the top 10 best-seller in late 2011. Amazon.com, the largest online retailer in the world, also admitted that the demand for the book of Steve Jobs is very high and will be able to occupy the position of the best sales this year.

Based on data from Nielsen BookScan, this book also appears as the bestseller in the UK this week. 37,000 recorded books sold in the first five days. These data do not include data sales onĀ  electronic books (e-book).
