Mobile Application Developers Now Like Windows Phone too.
Mobile Application Developers is now more interested in developing applications based on the Windows Phone operating system rather than RIM operating system, the BlackBerry OS. This is the result from Appcelerator and IDC.
“Three major mobile operating system after the iOS and Android is now clear in the hands of Windows (Phone), thanks to an agreement between Microsoft / Nokia, along with the presence of Nokia Lumia 800,” said Vice President, mobile and connected consumer platforms IDC, Scott Ellisson.
2160 survey of developers around the world show, 38 percent of respondents mentioned very interested in developing applications for Windows Phone. Only 21 percent of respondents who expressed interest in the BlackBerry operating system, and only 13 percent who are interested in developing applications for the BlackBerry QNX-based playbook.
Although Windows Phone has attracted the attention of mobile application developers, but Apple’s iOS operating system remains a favorite of mobile application developers in the world. The results of the survey said that 91 percent of respondents said “very interested” in developing applications for the iPhone and 88 percent are interested in making an application for the iPad.
What about Android? This survey shows that interest in the development of Android developers declined slightly. There is a 83 per cent of respondents said “very interested” in the development of applications on Android smartphones, but less than 4 percent of the last survey. Regarding the development of applications for Android tablets, 68 percent of developers said “very interested, down 6 percent compared to the latest survey carried out.
